Tamarind Review 24th May to 31st May We arrived in Barbados to 31 degrees and a New Prime Minister and to be told no alcohol would be served until 6pm. ![]() TV was fine and what you’d expect for the Caribbean albeit the remote didn’t have Working batteries but I’d not come to watch. The rooms I felt were a little dated and worn, but they were clean and tidy and came with everything you’d expect including a coffee machine (I love my coffee). Our Ocean View Junior Suite was on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and of course that Caribbean Sea View. Reception in the resort felt a little quiet when we arrived and generally the hotel did too although we didnt mind this. ![]() It was very obvious to me that a number of the guests here were not first or second timers they were quite frankly regulars to the hotel which says a lot too. The staff, local people and pretty much anyone you’ll meet are just only too happy to engage in conversation and partake in your holiday banter. The Tamarind is ideally located on the West Coast where the beaches are pure white sand, the sea an amazing array of colours what with it being the Caribbean and where the sunsets are to die for. ![]() I’m not big on reviews but this resort and this island just deserve it. We arrived in Barbados to 31 degrees and a New Prime Minister and to be told no alcohol would be served until 6pm.
